The following associations between the four elements of shamanic practice and the brain-wave states have been associated with the Native American Medicine Wheel. The Medicine Wheel of a Magic Circle diagram describes an energy movement, and ‘imprint ages,’ moving from the compass points, starting at the South/Water, towards North/Air, West/Earth and Fire/East.

The energy movement looks like the number ‘4,’ which returns from the Eastern quarter back again towards the South, to thence repeat the ‘4,’ etc.

The two cross-over points is that of the introversion of the five senses (inverse Pentagram) upon hypnagogic ingress into the microcosmic (Nagual) dream at the South/Water, and hypnapompic egress (upright Pentagram) out of the dream upon awakening, in the Fire/East, where macrocosmic (Tonal) synchronistic phenomena occurs. The centre of the Medicine Wheel is that of the fifth element quintessence.

SOUTH-WATER: Between birth and 2 years old, a child is in a DELTA brain-wave state, which allows the newborn brain to restore its self. This explains why a newborn child finds it difficult to remain awake for more than a few minutes at a time.

Should a newborn child be brought up within an environment in which music is constantly being played, the sleeping child will very likely be susceptible to the emotionally charged influence of music. (It is to be noted that some very young children, who are under a year old, are quite adept at drawing, which is on par with masterwork cave paintings.) 

When in deep sleep an adult is in Delta. This might be one of the reasons why an Artist tends to listen to music, while creating his/her Art, which in some cases subconsciously reminds him/her of a cave womb time, when as a Delta brain-wave newborn, he/she was being influenced by music.

NORTH-AIR: Over time the brain-wave shifts towards THETA, which is predominant in children aged between 2 and 6. Children operating in Theta are very much involved in their internal world. They live within the realm of imaginative daydreaming, you can otherwise term as the active imagination.

Although they are still unable to show signs of critical, rational thinking, which does not interfere with their imaginative conjurations of invisible friends, such as power animals, etc.

It is a state where an Artist allows his/her imagination let rip into an associative free-fall, without allowing his/her critical conscious mind and rational thinking to interfere in the imaginative process.

This is especially the case for surrealist Artists. One of the methods utilised by an Artist is listening to music, which has the affect of empowering the associative processes of the active imagination.

Many an Artist of the Modern Art persuasion also seeks to regain this state of being as well as going unto an embryonic Delta scribble, depicting a sound, towards having nothing more than a single block of colour covering their birthed canvas.

THETA is a super learning state, where the child is open to suggestion. Children are more likely to accept what has been taught to them as being true. Hence the educational establishment will target children of this primary school age group.

Those who practice Meditation, which is basically the self-inducement of (Theta) hypnagogic trance, otherwise termed as self-hypnosis, can also access this ‘inner-child’ state in order to Hermes-Trismegistus reprogram themselves from the prior-programming of their minds, by those who have a religious/political agenda.

WEST-EARTH: Between the ages of 5 to 8, the brain waves have changed into an ALPHA frequency. This is the point when the analytical mind begins to form. Children start to interpret and draw conclusions from various influences within their environment. Although, the inner world of the microcosmic imagination tends to be as real as the outer macrocosmic world of reality.

Children in the ALPHA age-group tend to have a Magician/Witch foot in both the (dream/water) microcosmic and (physical/land) macrocosmic worlds, by using both (hemi-synch) left and right brain (Horns) hemispheres at the same time, one can term as being an ‘Amphibious’ shamanic state of (Anunnaki/Nommo/Oannes/Naga) being.

When an Artist creates a work of Art, he/she can access an Alpha meditative state, which is a form of a light hypnagogic trance, which can be directed. It is described as being a peaceful and relaxed state, though still alert, having powerful associative ideas and inspiration.

This is a sought for state to be in when conjuring up a ‘chosen’ imaginary character to vividly visualise amidst your ‘Triangle Of Art’ imagination,’ as well as for brain-storming associations, creating new ideas, for learning and seeing other alternate possibilities.

During the meditative creative process, focused upon symbolic stimuli can be implanted into the dream, wherein a meditated upon two-dimensional image can be conjured up as an interactive three-dimensional reality within a Sixth-Sense (Sexagram/Hexagram) lucid dream.

When in a lucid dream, the practitioner is aware he/she is exploring the microcosmic realms of the dream, while still asleep in his/her macrocosmic bed.

EAST-FIRE: From ages 8 to 12 and on-wards, brain activity enters into BETA. This is the world of conscious, analytical thinking. The mind is awake, focused and alert, which is capable of the ‘Spirit Chain’ faculty of logical thinking.

Adults spend most of their time in this hunting cycle, which has been prior programmed by their upbringing, such as being taught to believe in the established symbolic paradigm of the deified Animus made as a God/Devil, which also molds and ‘programs’ their grimoire dreams. These dreams can be reprogrammed into other Artistic grimoire expressions.

CENTRE-QUINTESSENCE: GAMMA brain-waves are the fastest of brain waves, which act as the governing agent in the brain. Gamma waves synchronizes the brain across frequencies, relating to the simultaneous processing of information from different brain areas.

The brain becomes more coherent and efficient, and there is less noise. Gamma brainwaves pass information rapidly and quietly. The mind has to be trained to become silent in order to access Gamma.

Gamma was initially dismissed as being ‘spare brain noise,’ however researchers soon discovered it was highly active when an individual experiences an overwhelming sensation of universal unity as well acquiring a state of high attention.

Experiments on Tibetan Buddhist monks have shown a correlation between transcendental mental states, vivid visualisations and Gamma waves.

When the monks were asked to induce an objective feeling of compassion during their meditation, the brain activity of the monks began to fire in a rhythmic, coherent manner, which suggests their neuronal structures are firing in harmony.

The ensuing sensation can be symbolically equated to a Shamans Horned feathered head-dress, or a Solomonic Crown a magician wears atop of his head when standing amidst his Magic Circle, or a Pharaoh’s elongated crown, which refers to the practice of elongating the skull, since it feels like the top of ones head is opening up.

This would also indicate that the Gamma rhythms modulate perception and consciousness, and that a greater presence of Gamma relates to an ecstatic shamanic expansion of consciousness and intelligence increase, a Shaman describes as an inner illumination, which is termed as the ‘Fire In The Head.’

The programmed Beta brain establishment fears the questioning inner-child of amphibious state Alpha, who knows how to consciously access Delta, Theta unto Gamma, since the rebellious inner-child is enabled to take a bite out of the banned Apple of inner knowledge.

Art is Sorcery, Sorcery is Art, both are indivisible from the other of shamanic practice.

There are different techniques, which can be utilised to read the Black Raven Tarot cards. These methods can be combined. (For more information about the Black Raven Tarot, Please Click On The Artwork.)

The described techniques, are general descriptions. These techniques are just a few examples, which can be used for divination or meditation work.

(NOTE: The following pages are not derived from the Black Raven Tarot Grimoire. The Black Raven Tarot Grimoire features new Artwork, etc.) 

A free-form reading focuses upon the Tarot card ‘images,’ which requires you using your ‘Active Imagination.’ you can interpret the images as you see fit of imaginative explorations, in order to create an imaginary story construct for each card, which you then link together of similarity to a mind-map.

Let’s say that you shuffle the Tarot, and pull out five cards for a personal reading reading. The depicted Tarot cards below, are initially placed in the same ‘pentagram configuration’ as shown above. You then allow your imagination to weave a story around each image. For example:

PAST: VALAKA: Schoolgirl-Witch/Mutant Student

NEAR PAST: PHENEXI: Punk/Goth-Girl/Anarchist Art Rebel

PRESENT: AMONA: Streetwise Psychic Gangster Moll

NEAR FUTURE: ALLOCESI: UFO Nun/Eye/Revelation Of Secrets

FUTURE: OSEA: UFO Girls/Visitation/Abduction Into Another Dimension

Valaka is otherwise known as Valuna. Valaka is the Fallen ‘Anima’ name of a spirit listed in the classical Goetia, whose ‘Animus’ name is Valak or Volac.

When weaving your own story around a chosen Tarot card, allow your Active Imagination to let rip of free-flow automatism, which is akin to daydreaming, or if you prefer, a creative form of (mind-map) brainstorming.

GENERAL STORY ‘IMAGE’ CONSTRUCT: PAST: Studies leading to NEAR PAST: Rebellious attitude. PRESENT: Having a streetwise wisdom. NEAR FUTURE: Seeing differently, leading to a revelation. FUTURE: A surpising visit out of the blue.

A GENERAL IMAGE INTERPRETATION AND READING: Previous studies have led to having an unorthodox perspective, which others may see as being rebellious. Having an unorthodox viewpoint, is not that of being unrealistic, since it has been aligned with an observational streetwise wisdom, which leads to a revelatory insight as well preparing you for situations, which could shock you, let alone others.

There are also associated divination ‘keywords’ on each card. The keywords can also be combined with the images of the cards when constructing your imaginary story. Example:

IN GENERAL: PAST: Relying on your inner (Caduceus) wisdom leads to NEAR PAST strange dreams/inspiration/insights, which are rebellious of PRESENT nature. Having such a rebellious street-wise perspective enables hustling for new opportunities. A potential opportunity will arise, which will be somewhat of a NEAR FUTURE revelation, even though you will feel as if you are being abducted against your will into an alien situation in the FUTURE… it could be fun.

You also have associated ‘RUNES,’ which can be Cross-Referenced With the planetary Spheres of the depicted (Succubi) Succubae. Example:

IN GENERAL: PAST: Inner wisdom and Mercurial/Intellectual guidance. NEAR PAST: Getting rid of that, which hinders; relying on your Luna intuition to do so; an emotional time. PRESENT: Intuitively (Luna) looking for opportunities, which are somewhat tied up with the Rune of (X) romance. NEAR FUTURE: A sign, portent and omen pointing at Venus. FUTURE: Finding yourself in a more structured Mercurial situation, which could be associated with studies/learning something new.

The Star signs can be utilised to determine possible qualities pertaining to individuals or determining times when situations may occur. There are different symbolic layers of the Tarot cards, which can be cross-referenced with one another.

What you focus upon can initiate synchronicity feed-back loops of macrocosmic phenomena as well as bringing about corresponding situations. Remember, you are in control of the Tarot, not the other way around. This is very much the case concerning the two-dimensional meditation images of the Black Raven Tarot.

Each of the (Succubi) Succubae have associated offices and functions, which are listed in my accompanying Goetia Girls grimoires.

The functions of the (Succubi) Succubae are based upon the classical grimoire descriptions, which can also be utilised when conducting divinatory work with the cards, or otherwise used for meditation purposes in order to induce corresponding microcosmic lucid dreams, wherein the (Succubi) Succubae manifest as three-dimensional interactive realities.

You also have the Zodiac, which is turn associated with the symbol of the Ouroboros. You can imagine the ‘spinning disk’ of George Pal’s H.G. Wells (Merkabah) Time-Machine as being the zodiac/Ouroboros, whose Decans are associated with corresponding (Succubi) Succubae.

The (Succubi) Succubae are associated with star signs, which also refer to Zodiac Ages.

When ‘Seated’ in ‘meditation,’ you can (H.G. Wells) meditate upon an image of a Succubus pertaining to a Zodiac (disk) Age, which will invariably induce intriguing (Art Muse) Quantum Computing Time-Travel dreams.

The Sorcery game, Lilith’s Harem, can also be played with the Black Raven Tarot cards, which will facilitate the symbolism of the cards to be easily learnt, as well as empowering ensuing dreams. In ancient myths the symbolism of the Owl is often entwined with the feminine (Anima) principle, such as Witches and the practice of Witchcraft. For example, the Queen of (Succubi) Succubae called Lilith in Hebrew lore, who is very much associated with the (Lilitu) Owl.

Lilith represents the experience of the Old-Hag-Syndrome or otherwise called the Bedroom Invader Experience, which is experienced when inadvertently accessing hypnagogic trance at the point of sleep.

This experience is known of by many other cultures, which utilise similar symbolism to describe it. When accessing hypnagogic trance, it then leads to conscious ingress into the dream, wherein Lilith manifests as a three-dimensional interactive reality.

Hence, the Owl has held been revered as well as feared throughout human history. Owls have since become associated with alien abduction experiences. The experience of alien abductions often occur when an individual inadvertently experiences hypnagogic (phase) trance, which as mentioned is associated with Lilith.

Hypnagogic trance is consciously induced by shamans, which is termed as being the little death by occultists. The hypnagogic state involves the experience of sleep-paralysis, which gave rise to the term nightmare, since an individual who inadvertently experiences this altered state of consciousness will often experience terrifying visions.

Although, when an individual overcomes his or her fear of the assailing nightmare he/she can then consciously ride the Mare of the Night wherever he/she wills to travel without moving within his/her lucid dreams.

A heterosexual male practitioner can transmute the nightmare into an erotic experience; hence the term Night-Mare and its association with Lilith, who is seen to be a Succubus archetype of the Fallen Anima. (Those of other sexual orientations will reverse the symbolism as required.) 

Lilith is associated with the Tarot card of the High Priestess Of The Silver Star II, whose priestess symbolism can be otherwise equated with a Nun, which of an associated aside leads us to a tale related by Whitley Strieber in the book, ‘The Super Natural,’ who tells of an unsettling event, which happened to him in 1968.

“That year, I was living in London and attending the London School of Film Technique, now called the London Film School.  During the summer break, I decided to travel on the Continent.  On an overnight train to Florence, I fell in with a girl.”

“We began traveling together.  For a couple of weeks in Florence, we had a lovely time, living together in chaste intimacy.  But then we went on to Rome, and when we toured St. Peter’s, she became crazy, stalking through the church in raging silence.  She scared me.  I was living with her in a small pensione near the railroad station.  I decided, ‘No more,’ and headed off to the pensione to collect my suitcase and get out of there.”

“I went into our tiny room, threw my toothbrush into my suitcase, and started to leave.  Then I stopped.  Her suitcase was lying at the foot of the bed. I have always been a bit too curious, and I opened it.  What I saw shocked me to my core.  In it was a NUN’s habit and, lying beside it, a dry, flattened OWL carcass. I didn’t get off the train again until I was in Strasbourg.”

“The Owls were gathering,” Strieber concludes, and this is the point of his story. Owls have always been mysteriously intertwined with his experiences of his humanoid alien Greys, he prefers to call, The Visitors.

The Tarot card of The High Priestess/Nun depicts her being seated between two pillars, one is black, the other white. These two pillars represent the two nerve channels of the Autonomic Nervous System, which run along either side of the spine. When these two nerve channels are brought into balance via meditative practices or auto-hypnotism, it then leads to a shamanic practitioner attaining hypnagogic trance, which is symbolically represented as being Grey.

The central pillar is then activated, which represents the central nerve channel running along the centre of the spine. The central nerve channel is associated with the Central Nervous System. Most of the nerve fibres of the Central-Nervous-System are mostly found in the chest area of the lungs. (It is this area of the body, which has the sensation of pressure when experiencing the [Fight-Flight fear-response] Old-Hag-Syndrome.)  

When consciously accessing hypnagogic trance, the practitioner is then enabled to experience lucid dream ingress into other realities, which will be determined by his/her beliefs. In other words your beliefs will determine what you tune into. Your beliefs are symbolically represented as the ‘grimoire’ upon the Tarot lap of the High Priestess/Nun. (At the feet of the Tarot High Priestess is a serpent, which represents the reptilian-brain.)

In the Hebrew Cabbala, the Tarot card of The High Priestess/Nun is associated with the 13th path, which is ascribed to the Hebrew letter, Gimel, whose English equivalent is the Freemason focus upon the letter G, which corresponds with the seventh Rune, called Gebo, looking like an X, of Crossbones.

The seventh Rune means self-sacrifice as well as sexual union. The self-sacrifice refers to hypnagogic trance, whose terror can be negated when to introvert the sexual impulse. As mentioned, the hypnagogic state is termed as being the little death; hence you then have the Skull and Crossbones.

The 13th path of The High Priestess passes through the hidden sphere of Da’at, which means, belief. Da’at physiologically equates with the reptilian brain.

The reptilian-brain does not think in words, it thinks in symbols, which is directly connected to the optic nerve.

Wherefore, the reptilian-brain can be easily influenced via symbolic stimuli, such as seeing Strieber’s alien Grey on his Communion book cover, which set off the viral-meme belief in alien Greys.

Prior to Strieber’s description of Grey aliens, there was little or no mention of them. The prior focus was on Nordic aliens just after WWII, when the Roswell incident occurred in 1947, then Asiatic aliens took to the alien stage when the Vietnam war raged. It was only during the Iraq invasion that Strieber’s Grey alien came to the fore, he described looked like the Sumerian sex Goddess, Ishtar. Now it seems as if the Grey’s have always been around of a cultural influence.

The reptilian-brain governs over the depth of hypnagogic trance as well as your dreams, whose microcosmic domain of the collective unconscious is symbolic, which gravitates towards a macrocosmic collective focus, when stirred by the controlled media.

However, there is the distinct possibility that the symbolic material of your electron dreams are parallel processing information, which is emanating from alternate worlds existing within parallel universes.

This doesn’t sound too unbelievable when looking into quantum computers, which make their calculations in parallel universes.

Should you imagine a science fiction scenario where you  have an alternate Earth, whether it be of the distant past, present or of the far flung future, having a superior technology, which allows the denizens of an alternate Earth to communicate with other Earth’s via spun electron dreams, let alone being able to physically travel to other worlds in their Vimana UFO’s. Then you would have Strieber being abducted by time-travelling ultraterrestrials.

The morning after his first (Yod) experience, when being abducted through the hypnagogic (He) hymen veil, which had occurred on December 26, 1985, the initial memory of his otherworldly (Vau) encounter was the image of a barn Owl staring at him through his hypnapompic (He) window. (YHVH: Tetragrammaton)

Perhaps the barn Owl was a memory-trigger, which referred back to the woman who he had met long prior, whose secret Nun fetish got him to do a runner on this Earth. But on another Earth, just next door, his alternate self stuck around, who was duly abducted by a Lilith in the ‘Hunger’ flesh, who initiated him into Tantric dream Yoga between her ‘Black Magic’ pylon legs, wherein he ‘Wolfen’ howled.

Who knows, the Strieber of this Earth may have been contacted by his dreaming alternate self, whom eventually got in the Vesica-Pisces sack with a High Priestess Witch of a Silver Star Ishtar coven. And when dream visited, the alternate self sent along all his conjurations of the Fallen Anima, who gathered around the Strieber of this Earth as his Owl eyed Muses bestowing Athena Wisdom.

Should we take this scenario further, the alternate Earth Strieber won over a rebellious Nun when he told her a seventh Rune Magpie Secret in the ‘Night Church’ of St Peter’s, to make as the Grey:

“I will set you free from your feminist wrath, my dear. Although you will not like what I have to reveal. The God you are angry with, is your own deified Animus, made as a God and Devil. You and the Queen Bees of this Earth, women all, have created this patriarchal Matrix of a Beehive down the ages. It is yours to own as your creation, when you see the truth of it. And in knowing the truth, you no longer have to silently rage at all men; for they did not create your gaol. Then you can become as their revealing Anima, of a Sophia incarnate, to otherwise Metis smile as a Wise Owl.”

Then, when leaving ‘Night Church,’ St Peter’s the alternate Strieber hypnotised the Nun with his priestly words. The Nun then experienced ‘Cat-Magic,‘ when synchronicities abound; for when you focus upon certain symbolic stimuli within your microcosmic Triangle Of Art imagination, macrocosmic feed-back-loops of synchronicity will start to manifest. So, you have to careful what you focus upon of a symbol.

The alternate Strieber, being a crafty Svengali Mage, observed whether her synchronicities involved him as his ‘Cat Magic’ Assistant, or not. If so, it would indicate she truly loved him, if not, then off on the train again until he was in Strasbourg. Luckily enough, she loved him as her Mage; just as well, really, if he had got onto the train, the alternate Strieber would have bumped into his ‘Dreamland’ doppelganger, who is not to be seen.

You know the old stories about doppelgangers, meeting your ghostly alternate selves can be far too much of a Chinese box for many; most would promptly give up their ghost, to thence merge with the alternate self. This is very much the case when encountering an alternate self who knows how to walk worlds, whom is a Sorcerer, whose eyes are likened to obsidian scrying mirrors.

Above all the heads of the innumerable Strieber’s occupying the myriad alternate Earth’s a silvery Grey UFO to hover like an Owl, observing all the alternative possibilities, which exist in parallel universes to verily quantum computer Browse.

The Conjuring of varying entities and those worlds, which they occupy, many an Artist to know. The practice of Conjuration is engaged in whenever the Artist is confronted by a blank canvas onto which is Conjured a form. This requires an emotional connection with what is to be Conjured; for it is the emotional charge of the Artist, which animates what is being visualised.

The visualisation phase engenders thought processes, which automatically kick in, generating a myriad number of symbolic associations, which can take on manifested form within a lucid dream.

The symbolic associations are determined by what is being visualised. The visualistion will be of differing intensities depending upon the emotional charge of the Artist.

Most often than not, the visualisation will be more of an impression than a fully fleshed out form; at other times, it will be quite vivid, though fleeting.

Sometimes it will be very vivid of an overlapping ghost reality. Whatever is Conjured of a form, will be constructed from innumerable symbolic associations, which are derived from the memories of the Artist.

Everything that the Artist has ever experienced is stored within the subconscious, being the storehouse of memory. You then have a formula of: Emotion, Thought and Memory, which can be termed as the ‘Triangle Of Art.’ At the midst of the ‘Triangle Of Art,’ you have the ‘Eye’ of the ‘Imagination.’

It is the inner eye of the imagination, which, of a ‘Paranoiac-Critical Method’ example, fuses the memory of a Fox with a human figure of, say, a Hogwarts Witch of a schoolgirl, which then creates something else of a St Trinian ‘Exquisite Corpse’ Conjuration, you could knit-together as a Manga version of a Japanese Succubus, known as a Kitsune.

This will of course require the Artist to have the necessary ‘observational’ memories concerning Japanese culture, which will be Conjured up automatically.

If not, the Artist will then have to rely on references. Whatever the case, when the Artist observes everyday events, it is not done in a haphazard way; the Artist has to make it a habit of consciously transforming what is being observed into a sketch, let alone a painting within his/her imagination.

The character of a Kitsune does not exist in a void; wherefore, her Conjuration will then generate associations with everything Japanese drawn from memory of ‘re-remembering.’

So, when the Artist manifests her upon the canvas, it will then lead to an associative world being painted around her.

The trick is, the stronger the emotional connection the Artist has with the initial Conjured character of a Kitsune, it will then lead to a free-flow association into her world.

The intensity of the creative act, is its self a form of meditation, and like a martial art, it best occurs when the analytical mind does not interfere. This requires that the emotion is felt by the body; in other words, the emotion is transmuted into a feeling, a shaman would say is felt by the heart, where the ‘power of (hypnagogic state) trance’ resides.

This then leads to a (Theta brainwave) state of automatism, where the Artist is not thinking about what is being painted, it just manifests via the (pentagram) hand, guided by the eye of the imagination.

With continued practice it can initiate vivid dreams, leading to a state of lucidity; this will in turn engender concordant synchronicities. The experienced synchronicities will reflect back the symbolic focus of the Artist, who, when to observe the synchronicities, to take further of artistry, becomes as a Shaman.

However if an individual is unprepared for the feed-back-loop of synchronicities, which will reflect back his/her ‘symbolic’ beliefs, such as dreaming about a subject, to then, upon awakening, suddenly overhear a conversation about what had been dream’t, or even prior thought; as well as losing and finding items under mysterious circumstances, or seeing an email from someone, he/she was thinking of, before seeing the email, etc, said individual might just become very paranoid.

The experienced paranoia is a reactive state of the unprepared conscious mind, which is esoterically termed as entering ‘Chapel Perilous;’ basically, the mind attempts to come to an understanding of what is going on, based upon what has been learn’t, which invariably does not allow for such phenomena to be recognised, whereby his/her belief system starts to fragment, being the Nigredo stage of the Great Work of Alchemy.

This can initially lead to an individual believing that his/her life is being subversively manipulated by secret agencies of the government, to even see men in black around him/her upon a synchronicity, or to believe he/she is being pursued by malign Satanists, Biblical demons, or Newage-Gnostic aliens, who experiences assailing Illuminati nightmares, along with those who feed into the fear, whose ulterior motive is to exacerbate the paranoia even further, which of a hidden agenda is to enslave him/her within their ring-pass-not symbolic construct, etc.

The Nigredo stage will continue of disintegrating madness until the individual realises of an Albedo stage of inner Alchemy, that his/her (microcosmic) dreams reflect back himself/herself, and likewise the feed-back-loop of concordant (macrocosmic) synchronicity.

When to then transform his/her symbolic beliefs, the dreams of the individual and the experienced synchronicities will then accordingly change of an Alchemical Rubedo stage; whereupon the individual becomes aware of the reality of Magic in his/her life, which is the goal of the ongoing Great Work to evolve consciousness.

Hence the Artist, Austin Osman Spare extensively practiced (automatism) automatic-drawing, which he made as his symbolic Alchemy of (metaprogramming) sorcery practice. Alas, there is hardly any documented examples of his technique, apart from what he had described in his esoteric writings.

But the Artist Kim Jung Gi demonstrates what Spare was speaking of who is a supreme Martial Artist of the Arts. There will of course be those who to argue that Gi’s work is not automatic, which of commonalty is usually defined as a return back to a childhood spontaneity by many a so called Modern artist drawing scribbles a 2001 Space Odyssey ape can too doodle, or that of allowing the subconscious to chaotically take over, as if it is some David Icke reptilian with a planet X mind of its Freudian own, or otherwise equated with archetypal entities possessing a Jungian Artist.

Don’t get me wrong, I have nothing against Modern art; but it has far more to do with ‘who you know,’ rather than ‘what you know.’ However, Gi has the childhood spontaneity of being at one with his subconscious mind, like Spare, to such an extent that his inner Conjuring of various characters (spirits) and their (dream) worlds Gi is able to ‘vividly visualise’ with his inner eye of re-remembering onto paper, without using any references, let alone avoiding being esoteric about his artistry, which to freak out many a square mind, who make up the majority of the audience. In other words, Gi draws as a child would do, who can… actually draw.

There are those square brained sceptics who argue that a Conjuration of a spirit is merely Hogwarts fantasy, who, when to dare practice, gibber their rituals, read out of a medieval Playgirl grimoire in an empty room, seeing nothing appearing. Well, what do they expect, they are not thinking correctly, who to have quaintly forgotten that the Art of Magic is that of Art.


The trick is, you have to think and act like an Artist, to otherwise practice Conjuring a spirit onto a page, within a book of shadows sketch-pad, to thence draw of manifestation; but first, you draw within your mind, whence your inner eye to then guide your pentagram hand.


You will then have a Succubus Art Muse to appear amidst your Triangle Of Art Imagination, to seer the Muse taking on an Art Model life of her own of a drawing, the sorcerer Artist Austin Osman Spare to have known, who was aware that the drawn image has an interactive informational reality within the experienced dream.

She to then guide your winged eye of the Artist into her uterine tunnel of the Active Imagination, which of Art, is Sorcery.

As an Artist, you to stand as the creator at the centre of your Magic Circle of an Art studio, divided of four quarters, surrounded by your elemental weapons of a Wand of a Brush, Palette of a Shield, Sword of a Palette Knife, and a Cup, wherein the colours of your Art are mixed of Alchemy.

The Altar is your Easel, upon which be the canvas of a one time cave wall to paint with Metals suspended in oils, when to conjure up a quintessential Succubus Art Muse out of your Triangle Of Art imagination. Her Mind-Doll form of a symbolic expression can be knitted-together of an ‘Exquisite Corpse’ Tulpa, which of symbolic Alchemy, will pertain to one of the seven planetary (Chakra) spheres of an archetypal influence.

The initial two-dimensional image is then but a ‘doorway’ into your creative mind of an Artist, a conjured Succubus Art Muse to Symbolist inspire; who, depending upon your emotional intensity, may then manifest as a three-dimensional reality within the temple of a Surrealist ‘lucid dream.’

As a Sorcerer Artist, you might also observe that the conjured symbolism of a particular Succubus Art Muse within a microcosmic lucid dream, or that of a vividly imagined evocation, will generate concordant macrocosmic synchronicities.

Said synchronicities may lead you to meet up with a Muse of an Art Model, you have already depicted within a painting of oiled flesh, for yet another painting to model for, of Sorcery Art.

Such is what I explore of artistry, to take further of experimentation. At The Mountains Of Madness amidst the coldest parts of Antarctica, Canada and Siberia lie dark soils, which have remained permanently frozen for many thousands let alone millions of years. Trapped within these ancient soils hundreds of metres down between the crushing layers of this frozen earth, known as permafrost, are living bacteria as old as the ice itself.

Just how these Great Old Ones survive is yet unknown, but there are those who claim the microbes secrets could unlock the door to immortality. A Russian scientist, named Sabit Abyzov who was conducting Miskatonic research at the Vostok station in Antarctica during 1979 had discovered still thriving prehistoric bacteria, fungi and other microorganisms 11,811ft (3,600m) beneath the Antarctic ice sheet, just above the sub-glacial Lake Vostok.


The discovered bacteria had been frozen solid for hundreds of thousands of years. There was no credible way that the bacteria could have made their way down into the infernal depths from the surface, after the ice had formed.

Abyzov had concluded that the bacteria must therefore be hundreds of thousands of years old, that were far older than any organisms found previously.

However, In 2007, the longevity record fell yet again. Eske Willerslev and a Miskatonic research team from the University of Copenhagen made scientific history when they discovered living bacteria half a million years old, which was hidden deep below layers of permafrost in Antarctica, Siberia and Canada.

It was the first time that the researchers had isolated DNA from an ancient but still active bacteria. Then, just two years later, an even older microbe came to light, but this time it was 3.5 million years old. The microbe was unearthed by the Russian scientist, Anatoli Brouchkov. This particular bacteria had  been unearthed from the ancient permafrost at a site known as Mammoth Mountain in Siberia.

Brouchkov decided to inject himself with the 3.5-million-year-old microbe, which is known as Bacillus F, to see if the nigh immortal bacteria will enable the extension of his lifespan. He had of course tested the inactivated form of the bacteria upon mice, fruit flies and human blood cells first.

The test indicated promising results before he then injected himself with the arcane serum. Two years after the experiment Brouchkov claimed that he had not caught the flu since his self-treatment with the ancient microbe, but such would require lateral gene transfer; that, or the injected bacteria had triggered a switch in his junk DNA.

As far back as 1995, scientist Raúl Cano and his co-workers managed to revive 30-million-year-old bacterial spores from the stomach of an ancient bee trapped in amber; but there be far older bacteria. Russell Vreeland of West Chester University in Pennsylvania discovered bacteria, which have survived for an astonishing 250 million years. The bacterium is known as Virgibacillus strain 2-9-3, is remarkably similar to modern Virgibacillus found in the Dead Sea.

These bacteria have been trapped within salt crystals, buried 1,970ft (600m) below ground, which were discovered at a site in New Mexico, where, it just so happens, a nuclear waste dump was being built. At 250 million years old, these bacterial cells would have been thriving when the first dinosaurs were just starting to walk upon the face of the Earth.

Once the ancient microbes were extracted from their crystal sarcophagi and placed within a nutrient-rich flask in the lab, they reawakened and began to grow. “They were in the crystals and they were alive,” says Vreeland. “The chances of them getting into a sealed crystal were about zero and the chances of this being a contamination event were around one in a billion.”  

Sounds as if the bacteria are quite alien doesn’t it; however there are multitudes of bacteria, which occupy your planet of a body, along with other Lovecraftian critters around, you cannot see with the naked eye, whose reality is quite alien; some of which have been around, unchanged since the time of the dinosaurs, whom consider your body to be their home.

It appears that there are many other similar examples of bacteria trapped in salt. Bacteria between 33 and 48 million years old were discovered in salt crystals in an inland salt lake in central China. But is there a far broader significance to the ability of an individual bacteria to survive for 250 million years? In a word, yes. If a bacteria can survive in stasis for millions of years, then there is the possibility that cells or DNA had first arisen upon another planet within a far flung solar system, or even in a different galaxy, which had then travelled the vast chasm of space to Earth upon a comet or an asteroid.

The nearest galaxy to our Milky Way is the Andromeda galaxy, which is only 2-3 million light years away. Such would be an approachable distance for a bacterium, having the ability to survive for 250 million years, which might be somehow conscious of its own existence, hence sentient, having a form of intelligence, we would not be able to comprehend, since it would be utterly alien.

Many will consider this to sound utterly crazy, but only because Humanity sees sentient intelligence as being akin to its self of a measurement, which is not only rather arrogant in the extreme, it is more so very ‘limited’ of a ring-pass-not perception, considering that the builders of all life upon the planet are of the microscopic, being that of the DNA, having an evolutionary agenda.

In other words, when looking at the stars searching for aliens of a similar intelligence to your own, who quaintly have a similar humanoid form, flying around in a recognisable technology, which some to believe had built the ancient Egyptian pyramids, let alone believing they had constructed pyramids in Antarctica, the actual alien could just as well be within you all of stellar born DNA, or that of a microbe. Going by Vreeland’s work there is a possibility that life could have existed on Mars, due to salt deposits, which have been discovered within Martian meteorites.

Could then, an ancient bacteria, having an extraterrestrial origin, been engineered to purposefully affect the human DNA? Who knows; although, the idea was used for Ridley Scott’s science fiction movie, Prometheus; there are trillions of bacteria within the human body, which regularly exchange DNA with each other, but the idea that their genes could end up in the human DNA has been very controversial. In 2001, the team who sequenced the first human genome claimed to have found 113 cases of such lateral gene transfers (LGT), but their conclusion were later refuted.

This high-profile error had sent tremors through the field; according to Julie Dunning Hotopp who led a new study into LGT. Although her Miskatonic team has since found several cases of LGT between bacteria and invertebrates, “it’s still difficult to convince people that it may be happening in the human genome,” she said.

“It really does seem that human genome sequence data from somatic cells show signs of LGT events from bacteria, and so do cancer cells,” said Jonathan Eisen from University of California, Davis, who coordinated the peer review of the new study, who was not involved in the work; Eisen to have aptly commented, “Wild stuff does happen.”

If LGT events occur, they may be affecting long stretches of DNA, which have been previously dismissed as being  junk DNA. However, the once considered junk DNA has since been found to be crucial to the way the genome works, as if it some kind of computer program, which is programming the genome and thereby determining your existence.

The analogy with a computer program is entirely hypothetical of a science fiction scenario; although, Simon Shepherd, who lectures in cryptography and computer security at the University of Bradford in the United Kingdom looked into this idea.

Shepherd took an approach to the junk DNA, which was based on his line of work. He looked upon the junk DNA, as just another secret code to be broken.

After Shepherd analysed the code, he came to the conclusion that one probable function of introns, is that they are some sort of ‘error correction code.’

The error code fixes the occasional mistakes made by the DNA as it replicates itself. If he is correct, the introns would have lots of other uses. The next big breakthrough came from a Miskatonic collaboration between medical doctors, physicists and linguists. They discovered even more evidence that there was some sort-of Necronomicon language buried within the introns.

If the DNA had originally originated from an ancient extraterrestrial source, the language buried in the so-called junk DNA could be some sort of message, which is residing within us all.

Should this be the case, the encoded message may be communicating its self via the bio-photon emission emanating from out of the mitochondrial DNA, which then formulates into the holographic nature of dreams; whereupon, the message can be potentially accessed via lucid dreaming when to go beyond the ring-pass-not… Mountains Of Madness… where you may just discover that your experiential reality is a… Maya simulation…

So, if you do meet up with a lovecraftian bedroom invading ‘Shoggoth’ alien, which seeks to abduct you into its shadowy informational reality, it will be a Necronomicon simulation too, just like you. But it be far better that you conjure up the ‘Tulpa’ Succubus called, Ronovea within a Microcosmic lucid dream to associatively ‘Browse.’ You might then encounter a Lara Croft cosplayer upon a Macrocosmic synchronicity, at a comic convention, who you can potentially date. As Ronovea/Lara Croft will say, “why live in Arkham asylum fear, when you can have so much more Miskatonic fun, instead.” 

The lucid dream engineered Ronovea synchronicty may also reveal that reality has a (language/code) genetic basis. If however you prefer to live in fear, conjure up a ‘Shoggoth’ out of H.P. Lovecraft’s, novella, At The Mountains Of Madness instead, should it be your Grimoire predilection: “It was a terrible, indescribable thing vaster than any subway train—a shapeless congeries of protoplasmic bubbles, faintly self-luminous, and with myriads of temporary eyes forming and un-forming as pustules of greenish light all over the tunnel-filling front that bore down upon us, crushing the frantic penguins and slithering over the glistening floor that it and its kind had swept so evilly free of all litter.” But keep in mind, it might just ‘correspondingly’ manifest as an out of control juggernaut lorry careering your way, though, more likely to bear down upon you as a mutating… Flu Virus!

The first principal Succubus archetype pf the Fallen Anima is called Bael, who be a shaman Queen ruling in the far East across the steppe, under the fire star of the Mongol’s, whom emanates from the sixth dimensional planetary sphere.

She enables her conjurer to go about Invisible. She rules over sixty-six Legions of Infernal (Succubi) Succubae archetypes of the Fallen Anima. She appears amidst the Triangle Of Art imagination in divers shapes, sometimes like a Cat, or as a Toad; at other times like a most beautiful Siberian woman, or all these forms at once to otherwise mantra name, Baela.

She speaks clairaudient of most seductive tone, concerning those psychic secrets behind her Iron Curtain of a hypnagogic hymen veil to penetrate.


Behind her Iron Curtain, the ancestral shamans therein to have psychic abilities, the one time Soviet sought to weaponise, whom frequented the steppe unto Siberia. Her seal is to be mediated upon, and to visualise before calling her forth into a lucid dream, or else she will not do thee homage.

It is usually said of commonality that the name Bael is derived from the Canaanite deity known as Baal (/ˈbeɪl/ BAYL; sometimes spelled Bael, Baël [French], Baell), who is mentioned in the patriarchal Hebrew Bible of the deified Animus as the primary (Animus) god of the Phoenicians.

In the 17th Century Goetic occult writings, Bael is seen as one of the first spirits, which was released from Solomon’s brazen vessel of a Genie bottle.


While his Semitic (Animus) predecessor was depicted as a horned man or a horned bull, this spirit, Baal of the traditional grimoire tradition is said to appear in the forms of a Human, Cat and Toad, or combinations thereof. An illustration in Collin de Plancy’s 1818 book Dictionnaire Infernal rather curiously placed the heads of the these three creatures onto a set of ‘Spider’ legs.


When to totally ignore the indoctrinated perspective of the deified Animus, made as a God/Devil to otherwise look Into the ancient shaman legends of Siberia, such as those of the Buryat, you will find the first shaman called Khara-Gyrgän.

The Buryat relate that Khara-Gyrgän declared that his power was boundless; wherefore the creator put him to the test. The creator sadistically took the soul of a (Bael) girl and ‘bound her up within a bottle.’


To make sure that she wouldn’t escape, the creator put its finger into the neck of the bottle.

The shaman set about freeing the soul of the girl by beating the trance drum in order to conjure up an aspect of his Anima, manifesting as an eight-legged night-Mare pony-girl to ride through inner space, somewhat like that of a prior Dr Who piloting his TARDIS.


He soon discovered the whereabouts of the girl’s soul in order to free her. Khara-Gyrgän shapeshifted into the form of a ‘Spider’ and in doing so stung the face of the creator. The creator took its finger out of the ‘bottle,’ whence the girl’s soul escaped. The creator was very furious that its creation had passed the test, which indicated that the creator could be in time surpassed, so it decided to curtail the shamanic power of Khara-Gyrgän, after which the magical powers of the shamans were severely diminished.


According to Yakut shamanic legends of similarity to the Buryat, the first shaman refused to recognise the superiority of the programming creator due to its sadistic temperament.

The Yakut legend relates that the body of the first shaman was made up of a mass of snakes, which you can otherwise see as serpentine DNA of an inner program. The creator was fearful that the shaman would become far too powerful, so it sent down a fire to burn him and his world.


But in the ensuing conflagration of an ancient world-wide catastrophe, when a comet struck the Earth, an amphibious Toad escaped the inferno.

From the body of the Toad erupted forth the serpentine (DNA) spirits of the future Yakut shamans, who trace their genetic lineage back to the first shaman.


The motif of the amphibious ‘Toad’ refers to hypnagogic trance, which is attained at the midpoint between waking (land/macrocosmic) and (water/microcosmic) sleeping; this ability enables a shaman to access the underlying informational (microcosmic) order of his (macrocosmic) Maya simulation of an experiential reality.


The symbolic motif of the Toad is associated with similar reptilian symbolism to that of the ‘amphibious’ Nommo of the South African tribe of the Dogon and that of the Sumerian Annunaki, along with the reptilian motifs of other cultures across the globe, including Dragons. Some will see the Toad and that of the Snake or Dragon as being a Zecharia Sitchin reference to demonic reptilian extraterrestrials of David Icke tales; such is ‘not the case’ at all, the symbolism actually refers to shamanic ‘trance adepts.’


You also have the symbolism of the Cat, which is very often tied up with the feminine principle of the Anima. There are many a (Anima) Goddess from varying cultural myths who are described being in the company of Cats, riding them or otherwise assuming their predatory forms; whether they be Lionesses, Tigers or domesticated Cats, etc; such as the Sumerian Goddess, Ishtar riding a Lioness, the Hindu Goddess Durga, riding a Tiger or that of the Norse Goddess Freyja being the Witch mistress of Cats.


The motif of the (Sphinx) Cat refers to what is termed as the Bedroom Invader Experience or Old Hag Syndrome, which is often experienced at the point of (Toad) hypnagogic trance ingress into the dream; it is when a shaman is visited by his female spirit lover of a Succubus archetype of the Fallen Anima, whose nature is seen to be predatory. Hence she is associated with a Cat, which has since become that of a Witches familiar.


Siberian shamans often relate that their shamanic powers and abilities are derived from the internal dream congress with (Anima) Succubae Spirit-Wives, who are considered to be female shamans of similarity to the Hindu/Buddhist female entities called Dakinis.


You can otherwise term these (Anima) Succubae shamans as being Witches, whom initially manifest as Bedroom Invader ‘Cats’ at the point of hypnagogic ‘Toad’ ingress into the ‘Feminine’ domain of the dream. Wherefore the seal of Bael, which depicts a Toad, represents a symbolic formula of shamanic trance ingress into the watery amniotic realm of the electron dream.
