SHAMAN SPIRIT DRUM LUCID DREAMING

The European classification of the Spirit Wife is usually based upon a medieval perception, which considers the Spirit Wife to be a demonic entity, called a Succubus.

Western psychology, during the Soviet era, once considered the Spirit Wife complex of Siberian shamanism and that of other shamanic cultures to be a mental aberration, or that of fantasy prone individuals indulging themselves in erotic delusions. However, the psychologist Carl Jung otherwise saw the Spirit Wife/Succubus as being an archetypal aspect of the ‘Anima.’

Jung saw the feminine archetype of the ‘Anima’ as being the personified intermediary with the psychic powerhouse of the subconscious, whose myriad female forms are encountered within ‘lucid’ dreams, from whom a Shaman derives his psychic abilities, an Artist is inspired by as his Art Muses.

The motif of the Spirit Wife is known to the Yoga practitioner as Shakti, whose numerous feminine aspects are called Dakinis, which is also very much part of Tibetan Buddhist dream Yoga practices as well as Siberian shamanism.

For example, the Goldi tribe of Siberia clearly distinguish between a female tutelary spirit, known as an Ayami, which in Western occult practice is of similarity to the (HGA) Holy Guardian Angel, (Jung would also see the HGA as being the ‘Anima,’) who chooses the shaman.

Whereas the helping spirits, (Jung would see as being the myriad aspects of the ‘Anima’) the Goldi call Syven, an occultist would call (Succubae/Succubi) Demons, which are subordinate to the Ayami. The Syven are granted to the Shaman by the Ayami herself. The Altaic name, Ayami means, ‘Silk Twisted In Beauty,’ as in a horse’s mane. The Siberian shaman in particular sees the drum as his Mare, who too is his Spirit Wife, whom he trance rides as an eight-legged female centaur into conscious dreaming.

According to the ethnologist and anthropologist, Leo Sternberg, the Goldi explain the relations between the Shaman and his Ayami by a complex sexual emotion. Below is an experience related by a Goldi shaman:

“Once I was asleep on my sick-bed, when a spirit approached me. It was a very beautiful woman. Her figure was very slight, she was no more than half an arshin (71 cm.) tall. Her face and attire were quite as those of one of our Gold women.

Her hair fell down to her shoulders in short black tresses. Other shamans say they have had the vision of a woman with one half of her face black, and the other half red. She said: ‘I am the “Ayami” of your ancestors, the Shamans. I taught them shamaning. Now I am going to teach you. The old shamans have died off, and there is no one to heal people. You are to become a shaman.’

Next she said: “I love you, I have no husband now, you will be my husband and I shall be a wife unto you. I shall give you assistant spirits. You are to heal with their aid, and I shall teach and help you myself. Food will come to us from the people.”

I felt dismayed and tried to resist. Then she said, “If you will not obey me, so much the worse for you. I shall kill you.”

She has been coming to me ever since, and I sleep with her as with my own wife, but we have no children. She lives quite by herself without any relatives in a hut, on a mountain, but she often changes her abode. . . . Sometimes she comes under the aspect of an old woman, and sometimes under that of a wolf, so she is terrible to look at.

Sometimes she comes as a winged tiger. I mount it and she takes me to show me different countries. I have seen mountains, where only old men and women live, and Villages, where you see nothing but young people, men and women: they look like Golds and speak Goldish, sometimes those people are turned into tigers.

Now my ‘Ayami’ does not come to me as frequently as before. Formerly, when teaching me, she used to come every night.’

She has given me three assistants-the ‘Jarga’ (the Panther), the ‘Doonto (the Bear) and the ‘Amba’ (the Tiger).

They come to me in my dreams, and appear whenever I summon them while shamanising. 

If one of them refuses to come, the ‘Ayami’ makes them obey, but, they say, there are some who do not obey even the ‘Ayami.’ When I am shamaning, the ‘Ayami’ and the assistant spirits are possessing me; whether big or small, they penetrate me, as smoke or vapour would.

When the ‘Ayami’ is within me, it is she who speaks through my mouth, and she does everything herself.

When I am eating the ‘Sukdu’ (the offerings) and drinking pig’s blood (the blood of pigs is drunk by shamans alone, lay people are forbidden to touch it), it is not I who eat and drink, it is my ‘Ayami’ alone.”

SHAMAN DRUM SIBERIAN TRANCE

The design features a Finno-Ugric Siberian shaman. The word Shaman originates from Siberia, which is said to be derived from the Evenki word “šamán,” most likely from the South-Western dialect spoken by the Sym Evenki peoples. The Tungusic term, Shaman, was subsequently adopted by Russian explorers interacting with the indigenous peoples in Siberia. The word, Shaman can also be found in the memoirs of the exiled Russian churchman Avvakum.

The term Shaman has since been adopted by anthropologists as a coverall term for numerous other cultures who share similar shamanic techniques, which enable a practitioner to alter his/her (brain wave) states of consciousness.

The Siberian shaman in particular utilises the drum. The drum is often referred to as being an eight-legged-mare; which is in turn is associated with the abode of a (Anima emanation) Spirit Wife, somewhat like a genie in her (drum) bottle. In other words, the drum, Mare and Spirit Wife are seen to be the same. (The Eight legs of the Mare, being the eight compass directions of a symbol painted upon the skin of the drum, which is also associated with the motif of the World Tree.) 

The shamanic motif of the Mare and the Spirit Wife leads to the term ‘Nightmare,’ which originally referred to the Old-Hag Syndrome.

The Old Hag Syndrome is otherwise known as the Bedroom Invader Experience, which is experienced when an individual inadvertently accesses hypnagogic trance.

An unprepared individual will invariably become terrified when accessing hypnagogic trance, wherein he/she will experience the manifestations of his/her deepest fears, which often involves sexual scenarios.

Whereupon the term, Old-Hag Syndrome refers to the visitation of a Succubus, whose initial manifestation is nightmarish, which induces the experience of intense pressure upon the body, the sensation of being (Sphinx) strangled, sleep paralysis, vivid hallucinations, and eventual lucid dreams.

Wherein an individual will feel as if he is being abducted by otherworldly (Alien) entities as well as experiencing out of body experiences.

The Shaman learns to control his fear, in order to ride the (inner TARDIS) ‘Night-Mare,’ rather than being ridden by her.

Whereupon she becomes his (Ally) Spirit Wife; hence the carved (World Tree/Axis-Mundi) handle of the Shamans (Mare) drum in the design, which represents his (trance) Spirit (Anima-Mundi) Wife.

(NOTE: The Mare/drum [trance symbol and tool] is seen to be tethered to the World Tree, which symbolically represents the spinal column of the Shaman. The Spirit Wife refers to what Yoga practitioners call the Kundalini Shakti, which is experienced as a liquid energy that is aroused to arise along the (World Tree) spinal column. the Kalahari Bushmen of South Africa call this inner energy, Num, which is aroused when a practitioner accesses hypnagogic trance, which the Bushmen call, Kia. In ‘trance dance’ culture of the [Rave] dance clubs, this inner energy is known as ‘The Rush!’)  

The monotonous beat of the drum stimulates the Theta brain wave, which induces hypnagogic trance. The experience of hypnagogic trance is basically hypnotic induction.

The Theta brain wave is also associated with anxiety reduction, the active (day dreaming) imagination, lucid dreams and Zen meditative states.

The Theta brain wave is depicted in the design, which is also known as the hyper-suggestible state.

The inducement of the Theta brainwave allows for mental programming via the use of repetitive Mantas, such as the ecstatic songs (and trance dancing) of a shaman are effective at dispersing fear states, when sung in conjunction with the (Spirit Wife/Mare/Pony-Girl) drum.

The Ninth Succubus of the Grimoire, entitled the Goetia, is called, Paimona. She is a Great Witch Queen, and very obedient unto DIANA-LUCIFERA. She sometimes appears as a woman sitting upon a Dromedary, with a Crown most glorious upon her head.

There goes before her also a host of Succubae, who be female Genies, with loud trumpets and well sounding cymbals, and all other sorts of musical instruments, which cause a stir of protest music.

She has a most seductive voice, and seduces at her first coming, and her hypnotic speech is such that the Sorcerer cannot well understand, unless he can compel her to explain; for what he has been told by the (Angelic) establishment is but a lie.

This Succubus can teach all Arts and Sciences, and other secret things to relate concerning the elite few who control all. She will reveal that your perception of reality is being managed for the benefit of the elite few atop of their ziggurat of skulls, and why they do so; and to reveal how they control your mind via the controlled media, and where it is all going; or any other thing you may desire to know.

She gives Dignity, and confirms the same. She binds or makes any of the elite few subject unto the Sorcerer, by revealing who they are, if he so desires it. But alas, most Sorcerers are in egocentric role playing game conflict with one another, rather than fighting against the insanity of the elite few.

She gives good Succubae Familiars, and such Muses can teach all Arts; for the practice of Art is indivisible to the artistry of Sorcery; they are one and the same of shamanic practice.

She is to be observed towards the West, due to the fact that she has migrated, because of all the insane religious wars, and slaughter over the petrodollar, which afflicts her original homeland.

She is of the Order of Dominations who has under her 200 Legions of Succubae Genies, and part of them are of the Order of Angels, and the other part of Potentates. Now if you call upon this Succubus, Paimona alone, you must make her some ejaculatory offering; and there will attend upon her two Witch Queens called LABALA and ABALI who are most salacious twin sisters, and also other Succubae who be of the Order of Potentates in their host of 25 Legions.

And those Succubae Genies which be subject unto them are not always with them unless the Sorcerer do compel them. Her Character is depicted amidst her bottle, which must be prior meditated upon, before conjuring her within your lucid dreams, etc.

NOTE: The classical grimoires, which primarily list an all male pantheon of fallen Angels, depicted them as being part of an aristocratic hierarchy, who ‘symbolically’ represented the ‘Rebellious Anti-Thesis’ of the ruling (Angelic) aristocratic elite. You could see the Daemonic hierarchy of the grimoires as being an artistic form of prior Protest against the (Angelic) establishment. This tradition has carried over into David Icke’s Reptilian Agenda, although, its surrealistic theory is seen as being a literal conspiracy by Icke and his followers, just as many believe that humanity is in thrall to Biblical Demons spewing out of their Middle Eastern Hell hole; however, they are all too human, who make out that they are more than what they are!

A grimoire is a textbook of magic, which is the literary fare of Harry Potter. These books typically have instructions on how to create magical objects, like talismans and amulets, as well as to how to perform magical spells, charms and divination.

A grimoire also lists supernatural entities, such as Angels, Spirits, and Daemons, which are sometimes liberally illustrated; they are somewhat likened to that of art books; although they are more like proto-comics in style.

The illustrated entities, which populate a grimoire, are of similarity to a Yidam. A Yidam is essentially a two-dimensional image, which is seen to be a repository for a type of deity associated with Tantric or Vajrayana Buddhism.

The Yidam usually depicts a deity, who is shown copulating with a female counterpart, called a Dakini; the imagery of which tends to be highly erotic. The term, erotic, is the operative word here, not pornographic! Those whom castigate this practice as being merely pornographic entirely miss the point of Dream Yoga, more so those who indulge in externalising it of base hedonism.

The deity is considered to be a particular manifestation of Buddhahood, as well as the enlightened mind of the Yogi; whereas the Dakini represents the creative power of the deity.

In medieval Europe a Dakini would otherwise be termed as being a Succubus; although, a Dakini is also like a Genie as well as being an inspiring Muse.

During personal meditation (Sadhana) practice, the Yogi identifies himself with the focussed upon deity, which represents an attribute, power and state of mind the Yogi seeks to assume, of an inner-self-image, for the purpose of self transformation.

The Yogi visualises himself copulating with the Dakini, as her deity, which is depicted in the Yidam; whereby he introverts his sexual impulse. This will enable the Yogi to implant his now sexually charged desire into his subconscious mind.

The introversion of the sexual impulse will then empower the emotive spin of his electron dreams; the goal being to attain a lucid dream, within which the Yogi consciously experiences copulating with the Dakini, who is a bio-photon aspect of the Shakti (Electron) power of the dream.

The Dakini will then enable the Yogi to assume the guise of the (strange attractor) deity, since the (informational associative fractal) dream, which is the (Shakti) power of the Dakini, will reflect him back as the deity.

The Dakini is sometimes seen as a self created thought-form, which is termed as being a Tulpa. A Tulpa can be constructed from varying symbolic stimuli like that of knitting together a Frankenstein’s creation of a Golem, this is done consciously of artistry; there is nothing strange or unnatural about this creative process, since your dreams are already populated with Tulpas.

The practice involves working towards the chosen Tulpa construct manifesting into three-dimensional form as a fully interactive reality.

As mentioned, this is very much the case within a lucid dream, which is the initial phase of a Tulpa manifestation. It is also believed that a Tulpa can manifest into physical reality; although this only occurs on very rare occasions, for a brief time, as a kind of Ghost, which tends to be only seen by the operator. However, such a conjuration into physical reality usually manifests as associative synchronicities, which is sometimes followed by corresponding poltergeist phenomena.

When a lucid dream is achieved, the dream will be the three-dimensional experiential manifestation of the two-dimensional image of the Yidam.

In other words, the three-dimensional experiential inner reality of the dream will be pre-programmed by the focused upon two-dimensional Yidam.

The Yidam would equate with an illustration of a spirit in a grimoire. The term, Yidam is sometimes translated as meaning, meditational deity, or, tutelary deity.

Examples of Yidams include the meditation deities of, Chakrasamvara, Kalachakra, Hevajra, Yamantaka, and Vajrayogini, all of whom have a distinctive iconography, with associated mandalas and mantra rites of conjuring them as Tulpas.

You can then see a grimoire being illustrated with Yidams of the spirits, which have accompanying mandala sigils and seals, as well as having mantra names, via which a practitioner can conjure the spirits as Tulpas within his/her lucid dreams.

Not all Yidams depict a deity copulating with a Dakini; many of which just illustrate Dakinis, upon whom the Yogi meditates, while imagining himself sexually engaging with them of Dream Yoga.

This is of course dependent on whether the Yogi is of a heterosexual persuasion or even of a bisexual orientation.

A Dakini can be depicted of modern expression as a female character out of a comic, Manga or Anime who symbolically represents a psychic power or an ability the practitioner seeks to attain.

A Dakini can even be seen as an alien girl, piloting a time travelling UFO of a TARDIS, who represents (Sleipnir) information pertaining to the Star Trek future, to thereby remote view via a lucid dream by the practitioner, who has assumed the (deity/Odin) guise of a ‘Dr Who’ shaman.

Whatever form the Dakini is depicted as, of a two-dimensional Yidam painting, it will determine the type of scenario the practitioner will access of a three-dimensional interactive reality within a dream.

The male version of a Dakini is called a Daka, which is the primary focus of the patriarchal grimoires; hence, I have totally reversed their all male (Daka) paradigm, towards that of the female (Dakinis) of ‘Anima’ preference.

Although, if your sexual orientation is otherwise predisposed, you can stick with conjuring up Daka Angels and Demons of traditional commonality, betwixt and between your ‘Animus’ fixation upon a machismo God and a butch Devil seeking to enter unto your orifice.

This fact of symbolic logic can either put a broad smile on your knowing face when to become as the Shekhinah vessel for your God, or for you to rapine scream that you are being possessed, due to your sheepish ignorance. Well, what do you bloody expect, a male does enter into a woman, it’s ‘fucking nature!’

There are many differing Dakinis; each of whom is unified with various alternate-selves (Avatars) of the Yogi, he can assume within (alternate reality) lucid dreams, which are empowered by the conjured Dakinis.

Whereupon, the same perspective can be applied to the Succubae, when to conjure them out of a grimoire.

The Succubae can be seen as governess’s who have governance over a myriad number of dream worlds, likened to beads threaded by a superstring.

Although a Dakini is similar to a Succubus, she represents far more as a feminine (Anima) embodiment of enlightened energy within the watery domain of the dream.

This indicates that the phenomenon of the Succubus can be better understood, of Old Hag Syndrome dream visitations, when looking into what the Dakini represents. In the Tibetan language a Dakini is known as a Khandroma, which translates as the following: ‘void going woman, she who traverses the sky, she who moves in space, sky walker, or sky dancer.’

The Dakini is called upon of conjuration when practicing dream yoga, which is orientated towards attaining lucid dream contact with her; wherein she is akin to a Genie of Succubus wiles, who initiates the conjurer into the associated knowledge, of which she personifies as a knowledge/wisdom holder.

A Dakini is associated with the arousal of the Kundalini Shakti, of which she is an energetic fluctuation, of its fire snake energy, as it arises along the spinal column of the practitioner.

As the Kundalini fire snake arises along the spine, its feminine energy of Shakti activates the seven (planetary sphere) Chakras out of which the Dakinis emanate of differing (seal) expressions. Their various dream (metal) characters pertain to what they individually personify of inner knowledge.

A Dakini is so central to a Tibetan Buddhist practitioner attaining full enlightenment as a Buddha, that she appears in a Vajrayana formulation of the Three Jewels Buddhist refuge formula, which is known as the Three Roots. (Three Roots – Triangle Of Art.)

A Dakini commonly appears as the Dharma protector, sensuously sitting astride the lap of a guru and Yidam, with who she copulates of a sacred union.

Many would say that Austin Osman Spare had his career entirely the wrong way round, who began as a West End celebrity to then end up in an obscure South London basement. By the time Spare departed this materialist circus, back in 1956, he had been largely forgotten by the square brained art world. But since Spare’s demise, like many another dead artist earning shekels for collectors, he has become a legendary figure, not just for his remarkable art, but for his even more remarkable inner life as a twentieth century sorcerer and magical thinker.

Spare was ushered into this world in Smithfield during 1886; he was the son of a policeman, whose father walked the peeler beat where steampunk Jack the Ripper once stalked his prey. As for his son, he was hailed as a prodigy, genius, and all-round enfant terrible of the Edwardian art world. Spare was the youngest exhibitor at the 1904 Royal Academy exhibition, who went on to attend the Royal College of Art, where he dropped out without completing the course, and had his first West End show at the Bruton Gallery in 1907.

Some critics praised his artistry (“almost unrivalled”; “his management of line has not been equalled since the days of Aubrey Beardsley; his inventive faculty is stupendous and terrifying in its creative flow of impossible horrors”); but others absolutely deplored Spare’s depicted visions, already seeing Spare’s work as being abnormal, pathological, and entartete kunst degenerate.

George Bernard Shaw is said to have remarked that Spare’s medicine was too strong for the normal man; yet said normal man of a sensitive morality, ended up amidst the horror of the WWI trenches. Although, controversial as he was, Spare was still the Darling of Mayfair. But this was not to last. Later Spare would be selling pictures in South London pubs, and advertising his ‘Surrealist Racing Forecast Cards’ through a small ad in the Exchange and Mart.

Spare’s work started to become far more stranger of grimoire vision, which for those of his hypocritical era could not handle, whose mindset still afflicts the present; this was usually in the main due to Spare’s work being highly erotic of content; whereas in hindsight, Spare’s artistry was of similarity to a proto-Dadaist and that of proto-Surrealism.

A number of Spare’s magical works, were primarily orientated towards triggering him into a lucid state within his vivid dreams. Some of his later creations were that of painting intricate sigils upon the screens of defunct television sets, which he had liberally gutted; such creations will be considered to be rather odd, to say the least, by those who do not understand what Spare was up to.

“My consciousness was placed inside the right angle of the large inverted capital ‘L’ as it was written, as if it was a ‘vehicle.’ This is a rather dangerous procedure. This meant that I was identified with the marked state, i.e. I existed. I was now riding the marked state as if it was a ‘vehicle,’ but at the same time, I was the marked state.

This means I was the consciousness, the signal that was being fed through the marked state outside myself. As soon as this happened, I transited explosively into the void. My consciousness was still intact, but there was no universe at all. I suddenly realised that this was the first step in the infinite series of marked state, unmarked state, unmarked state and so forth. So my consciousness then reassembled a marked state, got into the right angle and came out in another domain, i.e. came out in a new marked state.”

Lilly experienced journeying from one universe into another within his lucid dream, when to have ridden the Brownian Operator, which of an inverted ‘L’ is none too dissimilar to the symbol of a Horse head.

Ancient shamans had their prior version of the Brownian Operator, which was otherwise symbolised as an eight-legged Mare to trance ‘ride’ into other worlds from within their lucid dreams.

The symbolism of the shaman Horse of trance is very much tied up with the term Nightmare. The word Nightmare was originally derived from a night terror, whose technical term is the Old Hag Syndrome, which is otherwise known as the Bedroom Invader Experience. The Old Hag refers to an invisible presence of an entity, which leaps upon an individual at the point of sleep. The individual experiencing this phenomena will experience great pressure being brought to bare upon their body, whom is unable to move.

The inability to move is that of sleep paralysis, which is experienced at the point of consciously accessing ‘hypnagogic trance’ ingress into the dream. The experience can be quite terrifying for the unprepared. Shamans overcome the Nightmare by transforming it into a ‘Mare’ of the ‘Night’ to otherwise ‘ride’ rather than being ‘ridden’ by it.

For a heterosexual male practitioner, this was achieved by introverting the sexual impulse, by prior focusing upon the visiting entity as being a Succubus; wherefore negating their fear; for it is their fear, which determines what form the entity assumes. Whereby the entity becomes the shamans familiar, which will empower the shaman to attain an out of body experience, whom will then carry him into other realities as his ‘Mare’ to ‘Night’ ride.
