SHAMAN TRANCE TARDIS HORSE DRUM

The Artwork depicts a Siberian shaman drum. The drum in Siberian shamanism, in particular, is symbolised as being the trance horse the shaman rides into an ecstatic state of consciousness. The motif of the horse is often symbolised as being an eight-legged Mare. 

The eight-legs of the Mare represent the eight cardinal directions, which are also associated with the eight points of a ‘cube.’ Hence in the Tarot card of the ‘horned’ Devil XV, which depicts a demonised ‘horned’ shaman, he is traditionally depicted seated upon a ‘cube,’ you could imaginatively associate with the TARDIS of Doctor Who, since the shaman saw the drum as a macrocosmic tool, that empowers his microcosmic trance ingress into other (inner) realities.

At the centre of the ‘cube,’ and at the centre of the eight cardinal directions you have a ninth point. Whereby the eight-legged Mare was also associated with the world tree interlinking nine (worlds) states of consciousness, which of a symbolic formula was painted upon the drum skin.

The eight-legged-Mare is also a fusion of two horses, representing the two nerve channels running along either side of the spinal (world tree) column. These two (horses) nerve channels belong to the Autonomic-Nervous-System. When these two (horses) nerve-channels are brought into balance via meditative (hypnotic) drumming, the two horses become fused, as the eight-legged-Mare, which activates the central-nerve channel of the Central-Nervous-System running along the centre of the spinal (world tree) column.

When the central-nerve channel is activated, the shaman will experience the arousal of what is known to the Yoga practitioner as the Kundalini-Shakti, along his spinal (world tree) column. The Kundalini Shakti is considered to be the life-force, which is experienced as being a liquid (fire) light, whose ‘quintessence’ is intuitively felt to have a feminine  (Anima Mundi) source. The Kundalini Shakti may be an intuitive description of the bio-photon, emanating from the Mitochondrial DNA, which is passed down from the mother to her children.

Those of a Westernised temperament will probably find that the symbolism employed by a shaman is a bit too much to swallow, concerning his/her trance tool of a (genie bottle) drum. In order to further clarify what the shamanic symbolism of the drum is communicating in regards to hypnagogic trance induction, which is none too dissimilar to inducing a state of self-hypnosis, find below an excerpt from a research paper:

“Scientific research has determined that drumming patterns are associated with different brain wave activity, as measured by cortical EEG. The research was conducted, to determine if the subjective experience of percussion in general, and rhythmic drumming in particular, would elicit (inner) images or (internal) sensations with a common (symbolic) theme.

Twelve participants were divided into three groups and monitored for EEG frequency response to three separate drumming tapes. These tapes included: Shamanic Drumming, at approximately 4 to 4 1/2 beats per second; I Ching Drumming, at approximately 3 to 4 beats per second; and Free Drumming, which incorporates no sustained rhythmic pattern. Four cortical sites, bilateral parieto-temporal and parieto-central areas, were monitored for each participant during three sessions. At the conclusion of the sessions, each participant prepared a brief written account and was given a tape-recorded interview of his or her subjective experience. These subjective experiences were then categorized according to recurring themes and consensual topics.

This research supports the theories that suggest that the use of the drum by indigenous (shamanic) cultures in ritual and ceremony has specific neurophysiological effects and the ability to elicit temporary changes in brain wave activity, and thereby facilitates (Triangle Of Art Imagination) imagery and possible entry into an ASC (altered state of consciousness – active imagination of varying visionary intensities), especially the SSC (shamanic state of consciousness – hypnagogic trance/ecstasy).

Drumming in general, and rhythmic drumming in particular, often induces (inner) imagery that is ceremonial and ritualistic in content (depending on setting) and is an effective tool for entering into a non-ordinary or altered state of consciousness (ASC – active imagination) even when it is extracted from cultural ritual, ceremony, and intent. 

The drumming also elicits subjective experiences and images with common themes. These include: loss of time continuum; movement sensations, including pressure on or expansion of various parts of the body and body image distortion, “energy waves,” and sensations of flying, spiraling, dancing, running, etc.; feelings of being energized, relaxed, sharp and clear, hot, cold, and in physical, mental, and/or emotional discomfort. 

Emotions, ranging from reverie to rage; vivid images of natives, animals, people, and landscapes; and non-ordinary or altered states of consciousness (ASC – active imagination), whereby one is conscious of the fact that there has been a qualitative shift in mental functioning., including the shamanic state of consciousness (SSC –hypnagogic [the Phase] trance) journeys, out-of body experiences (OBEs), and visitations. 
A pattern that incorporates approximately 4 to 4 1/2 beats per second is the most inducing for ‘Theta’ gain. (Theta frequency is usually associated with drowsy, near-unconscious states, such as the [hypnagogic trance] threshold period just before waking or sleeping. This (acoustic/‘music’) frequency has also been connected to [creative – ‘Muse’] states of “reverie” and [The Phasehypnogogic dream-like images.)

The pattern of the drumbeat as it relates to beats per second can be correlated with resulting temporary changes in brain wave frequency (cycles per second) and/or subjective experience, provided the drumming pattern is sustained for at least 13-15 minutes.(NOTE: The Theta brainwave is depicted in the design.)

SHAMAN SPIRIT DRUM LUCID DREAMING

The European classification of the Spirit Wife is usually based upon a medieval perception, which considers the Spirit Wife to be a demonic entity, called a Succubus.

Western psychology, during the Soviet era, once considered the Spirit Wife complex of Siberian shamanism and that of other shamanic cultures to be a mental aberration, or that of fantasy prone individuals indulging themselves in erotic delusions. However, the psychologist Carl Jung otherwise saw the Spirit Wife/Succubus as being an archetypal aspect of the ‘Anima.’

Jung saw the feminine archetype of the ‘Anima’ as being the personified intermediary with the psychic powerhouse of the subconscious, whose myriad female forms are encountered within ‘lucid’ dreams, from whom a Shaman derives his psychic abilities, an Artist is inspired by as his Art Muses.

The motif of the Spirit Wife is known to the Yoga practitioner as Shakti, whose numerous feminine aspects are called Dakinis, which is also very much part of Tibetan Buddhist dream Yoga practices as well as Siberian shamanism.

For example, the Goldi tribe of Siberia clearly distinguish between a female tutelary spirit, known as an Ayami, which in Western occult practice is of similarity to the (HGA) Holy Guardian Angel, (Jung would also see the HGA as being the ‘Anima,’) who chooses the shaman.

Whereas the helping spirits, (Jung would see as being the myriad aspects of the ‘Anima’) the Goldi call Syven, an occultist would call (Succubae/Succubi) Demons, which are subordinate to the Ayami. The Syven are granted to the Shaman by the Ayami herself. The Altaic name, Ayami means, ‘Silk Twisted In Beauty,’ as in a horse’s mane. The Siberian shaman in particular sees the drum as his Mare, who too is his Spirit Wife, whom he trance rides as an eight-legged female centaur into conscious dreaming.

According to the ethnologist and anthropologist, Leo Sternberg, the Goldi explain the relations between the Shaman and his Ayami by a complex sexual emotion. Below is an experience related by a Goldi shaman:

“Once I was asleep on my sick-bed, when a spirit approached me. It was a very beautiful woman. Her figure was very slight, she was no more than half an arshin (71 cm.) tall. Her face and attire were quite as those of one of our Gold women.

Her hair fell down to her shoulders in short black tresses. Other shamans say they have had the vision of a woman with one half of her face black, and the other half red. She said: ‘I am the “Ayami” of your ancestors, the Shamans. I taught them shamaning. Now I am going to teach you. The old shamans have died off, and there is no one to heal people. You are to become a shaman.’

Next she said: “I love you, I have no husband now, you will be my husband and I shall be a wife unto you. I shall give you assistant spirits. You are to heal with their aid, and I shall teach and help you myself. Food will come to us from the people.”

I felt dismayed and tried to resist. Then she said, “If you will not obey me, so much the worse for you. I shall kill you.”

She has been coming to me ever since, and I sleep with her as with my own wife, but we have no children. She lives quite by herself without any relatives in a hut, on a mountain, but she often changes her abode. . . . Sometimes she comes under the aspect of an old woman, and sometimes under that of a wolf, so she is terrible to look at.

Sometimes she comes as a winged tiger. I mount it and she takes me to show me different countries. I have seen mountains, where only old men and women live, and Villages, where you see nothing but young people, men and women: they look like Golds and speak Goldish, sometimes those people are turned into tigers.

Now my ‘Ayami’ does not come to me as frequently as before. Formerly, when teaching me, she used to come every night.’

She has given me three assistants-the ‘Jarga’ (the Panther), the ‘Doonto (the Bear) and the ‘Amba’ (the Tiger).

They come to me in my dreams, and appear whenever I summon them while shamanising. 

If one of them refuses to come, the ‘Ayami’ makes them obey, but, they say, there are some who do not obey even the ‘Ayami.’ When I am shamaning, the ‘Ayami’ and the assistant spirits are possessing me; whether big or small, they penetrate me, as smoke or vapour would.

When the ‘Ayami’ is within me, it is she who speaks through my mouth, and she does everything herself.

When I am eating the ‘Sukdu’ (the offerings) and drinking pig’s blood (the blood of pigs is drunk by shamans alone, lay people are forbidden to touch it), it is not I who eat and drink, it is my ‘Ayami’ alone.”

ALIEN WITCH NUN OF THE CHAOS UNITARIAN NUNS TEMPLAR

The Artwork is a mixed-media photo-montage digital painting, which of a Pop-Occulture (Occult Goth/Punk) design is an alternative version of the Fifty-Sixth spirit, Mantra named Gremory, who is listed in the medieval Grimoire, entitled the Goetia. I have otherwise depicted Gremory as a Succubus Art Muse, who is of similarity to what a Tibetan Tantric Buddhist terms as a Dakini.

A Dakini is seen to have vampire tendencies, who as a ghostly Witch haunts the periphery of you Surrealist dreams.

The psychologist Carl Jung would term the (Succubus) Dakini as being an inspiring Art Muse emanation of the ‘Anima.’

However, Tibetan Buddhist Shamans practice conjuring (Succubae/Succubi) Dakinis into their eroticised dreams, wherein a Dakini enables a Shaman to become (sixth-sense) lucid of awareness. Wherefore, Dakinis are considered to be personifications of inner (Sophia) Wisdom.

When conjured into a lucid dream, Gremory manifests as a Pop-Surrealist Nightgaunt Nun, who is an Entartete Kunst Art Muse stands betwixt the hynagogic trance pylons of the Sacred and the Profane.

The symbolism of the Artwork refers to the Tarot card of the High Priestess (Nun) of The Silver Star II. 

The Silver Star is a reference to the star of Sirius, which was considered to be sacred to the ancient Egyptian’s who associated the Goddess Isis with Sirius as well as her child, called, Horus.

Isis and her child, Horus was later transformed into the Virgin Mary and her Christ child by the Christian converts of Rome. Horus as a Hawk represents an ecstatic Out Of Body Experience, which can be experienced when accessing an inner (Yoni/Vagina/Wormhole/Stargate) portal/doorway into a (womb) lucid dream.

Hence the abbreviation of ‘C-haos U-nitarian N-uns T-emplar,’ which of an Entartete Kunst banned word, was the one time name of an Anglo-Saxon Goddess, whose vaginal Stargate was later associated with a Church door, represented as a Sheela na Gig, the Hindu to also know as their Goddess (Kunda-lini/Yoni) Cunti.

The Dogon of South Africa are no doubt aware of lucid dreaming, who considered their ancient shaman trance adepts to be amphibious of awareness.

The trance adepts can freely shift their consciousness between the ‘watery’ domain of the dream and the waking state of ‘land;’ wherefore they are symbolised as being amphibians, having ‘Fish’ heads called Nommo who are well aware of the inner portal of the ‘Chaos Unitarian Nuns Templar. 

(Note: The Nommo [shaman] trance adepts are often symbolically depicted as being phallic headed ‘Fish,’ since the impregnated [hypnagogic trance portal] ‘Stargate’ into the [watery-womb] dream is seen to be feminine, which is symbolised by a planet of women orbiting a star in the Sirius system called Emme Ya. In other words, the Nommo are NOT Aliens; although the feminine quality of the bio-photon illuminated dream can be construed as being of an otherwordly Alien intelligence.)

The Tarot card of the High Priestess (Nun) is also ascribed to the 13th (floor) path of Gimel (Camel) in the Cabbala, which interpenetrates a hidden sphere, called Da’at. The sphere of Da’at is physiologically aligned with the reptilian-brain-stem, which has governance over the depth of hypnagogic trance and your dreams.

The term, Nun, is originally derived from the ancient Egyptian name for the primordial amniotic ocean, called Nun, which represents the inner (womb) space of the dream, from which all (Tulpa/Maya-Matrix) forms are believed to be born.

In ancient shamanic cultures, the (cave/womb) realm of the dream is experienced as having a feminine quality; this is probably due to your dreams being illuminated by the bio-photon, which emanates from the Mitochondrial DNA that is passed down from the (Isis) ‘Mother’ to her (Horus) ‘Children.’ 

So, when to lay down your head upon a pillow to sleep unto dreaming, during the key-time of the Dog Days, when Sirius to burn brightly during the pull of the Moon, ponder the following, at its hypnagogic precipice, to thence slip and slider slide as the serpentine Nommo through the ‘Chaos Unitarian Nuns Templar’ portal into Alien dreaming:

Some scientists believe that the ancient Earth had been seeded with life from out of the womb depths of space, riding the backs of asteroids and comets, carrying bacteria, the serpentine DNA or even the Mitochondria, (Mitochondrial DNA), which to have fallen from the heavens.

If such was indeed the Panspermia case, the Mitochondria, would then be an Alien, which to have originally swam as an organism within the primordial (Nun) ocean before uniting with another organism, to then create a Cell of all Carbon based lifeforms upon the planet, whose Atomic number is 6: Electrons, 6: Protons and 6: Neutrons.

Who knows, maybe the Alien within your serpentine Mitochondrial DNA is communicating a Necronomicon (Gremory/grimoire) code from another Star via your bio-photon illuminated dreams, wherein the (Succubi) Succubae to Dakini reveal their C-haos U-nitarian N-uns T-emplar (code) Wisdom.

TOMB RAIDER AT THE MOUNTAINS OF MADNESS

At The Mountains Of Madness amidst the coldest parts of Antarctica, Canada and Siberia lie dark soils, which have remained permanently frozen for many thousands let alone millions of years. Trapped within these ancient soils hundreds of metres down between the crushing layers of this frozen earth, known as permafrost, are living bacteria as old as the ice itself.

Just how these Great Old Ones survive is yet unknown, but there are those who claim the microbes secrets could unlock the door to immortality. A Russian scientist, named Sabit Abyzov who was conducting Miskatonic research at the Vostok station in Antarctica during 1979 had discovered still thriving prehistoric bacteria, fungi and other microorganisms 11,811ft (3,600m) beneath the Antarctic ice sheet, just above the sub-glacial Lake Vostok.

The discovered bacteria had been frozen solid for hundreds of thousands of years. There was no credible way that the bacteria could have made their way down into the infernal depths from the surface, after the ice had formed.

Abyzov had concluded that the bacteria must therefore be hundreds of thousands of years old, that were far older than any organisms found previously.

However, In 2007, the longevity record fell yet again. Eske Willerslev and a Miskatonic research team from the University of Copenhagen made scientific history when they discovered living bacteria half a million years old, which was hidden deep below layers of permafrost in Antarctica, Siberia and Canada.

It was the first time that the researchers had isolated DNA from an ancient but still active bacteria. Then, just two years later, an even older microbe came to light, but this time it was 3.5 million years old. The microbe was unearthed by the Russian scientist, Anatoli Brouchkov. This particular bacteria had  been unearthed from the ancient permafrost at a site known as Mammoth Mountain in Siberia.

Brouchkov decided to inject himself with the 3.5-million-year-old microbe, which is known as Bacillus F, to see if the nigh immortal bacteria will enable the extension of his lifespan. He had of course tested the inactivated form of the bacteria upon mice, fruit flies and human blood cells first.

The test indicated promising results before he then injected himself with the arcane serum. Two years after the experiment Brouchkov claimed that he had not caught the flu since his self-treatment with the ancient microbe, but such would require lateral gene transfer; that, or the injected bacteria had triggered a switch in his junk DNA.

As far back as 1995, scientist Raúl Cano and his co-workers managed to revive 30-million-year-old bacterial spores from the stomach of an ancient bee trapped in amber; but there be far older bacteria. Russell Vreeland of West Chester University in Pennsylvania discovered bacteria, which have survived for an astonishing 250 million years. The bacterium is known as Virgibacillus strain 2-9-3, is remarkably similar to modern Virgibacillus found in the Dead Sea.

These bacteria have been trapped within salt crystals, buried 1,970ft (600m) below ground, which were discovered at a site in New Mexico, where, it just so happens, a nuclear waste dump was being built. At 250 million years old, these bacterial cells would have been thriving when the first dinosaurs were just starting to walk upon the face of the Earth.

Once the ancient microbes were extracted from their crystal sarcophagi and placed within a nutrient-rich flask in the lab, they reawakened and began to grow. “They were in the crystals and they were alive,” says Vreeland. “The chances of them getting into a sealed crystal were about zero and the chances of this being a contamination event were around one in a billion.”  

Sounds as if the bacteria are quite alien doesn’t it; however there are multitudes of bacteria, which occupy your planet of a body, along with other Lovecraftian critters around, you cannot see with the naked eye, whose reality is quite alien; some of which have been around, unchanged since the time of the dinosaurs, whom consider your body to be their home.

It appears that there are many other similar examples of bacteria trapped in salt. Bacteria between 33 and 48 million years old were discovered in salt crystals in an inland salt lake in central China. But is there a far broader significance to the ability of an individual bacteria to survive for 250 million years? In a word, yes. If a bacteria can survive in stasis for millions of years, then there is the possibility that cells or DNA had first arisen upon another planet within a far flung solar system, or even in a different galaxy, which had then travelled the vast chasm of space to Earth upon a comet or an asteroid.

The nearest galaxy to our Milky Way is the Andromeda galaxy, which is only 2-3 million light years away. Such would be an approachable distance for a bacterium, having the ability to survive for 250 million years, which might be somehow conscious of its own existence, hence sentient, having a form of intelligence, we would not be able to comprehend, since it would be utterly alien.

Many will consider this to sound utterly crazy, but only because Humanity sees sentient intelligence as being akin to its self of a measurement, which is not only rather arrogant in the extreme, it is more so very ‘limited’ of a ring-pass-not perception, considering that the builders of all life upon the planet are of the microscopic, being that of the DNA, having an evolutionary agenda.

In other words, when looking at the stars searching for aliens of a similar intelligence to your own, who quaintly have a similar humanoid form, flying around in a recognisable technology, which some to believe had built the ancient Egyptian pyramids, let alone believing they had constructed pyramids in Antarctica, the actual alien could just as well be within you all of stellar born DNA, or that of a microbe. Going by Vreeland’s work there is a possibility that life could have existed on Mars, due to salt deposits, which have been discovered within Martian meteorites.

Could then, an ancient bacteria, having an extraterrestrial origin, been engineered to purposefully affect the human DNA? Who knows; although, the idea was used for Ridley Scott’s science fiction movie, Prometheus; there are trillions of bacteria within the human body, which regularly exchange DNA with each other, but the idea that their genes could end up in the human DNA has been very controversial. In 2001, the team who sequenced the first human genome claimed to have found 113 cases of such lateral gene transfers (LGT), but their conclusion were later refuted.

This high-profile error had sent tremors through the field; according to Julie Dunning Hotopp who led a new study into LGT. Although her Miskatonic team has since found several cases of LGT between bacteria and invertebrates, “it’s still difficult to convince people that it may be happening in the human genome,” she said.

“It really does seem that human genome sequence data from somatic cells show signs of LGT events from bacteria, and so do cancer cells,” said Jonathan Eisen from University of California, Davis, who coordinated the peer review of the new study, who was not involved in the work; Eisen to have aptly commented, “Wild stuff does happen.” 

If LGT events occur, they may be affecting long stretches of DNA, which have been previously dismissed as being  junk DNA. However, the once considered junk DNA has since been found to be crucial to the way the genome works, as if it some kind of computer program, which is programming the genome and thereby determining your existence.

The analogy with a computer program is entirely hypothetical of a science fiction scenario; although, Simon Shepherd, who lectures in cryptography and computer security at the University of Bradford in the United Kingdom looked into this idea.

Shepherd took an approach to the junk DNA, which was based on his line of work. He looked upon the junk DNA, as just another secret code to be broken.

After Shepherd analysed the code, he came to the conclusion that one probable function of introns, is that they are some sort of ‘error correction code.’

The error code fixes the occasional mistakes made by the DNA as it replicates itself. If he is correct, the introns would have lots of other uses. The next big breakthrough came from a Miskatonic collaboration between medical doctors, physicists and linguists. But it be far better that you conjure up the ‘Tulpa’ Succubus called, Ronovea within a Microcosmic lucid dream to associatively ‘Browse.’ You might then encounter a Lara Croft cosplayer upon a Macrocosmic synchronicity, at a comic convention, who you can potentially date. As Ronovea/Lara Croft will say, “why live in Arkham asylum fear, when you can have so much more Miskatonic fun, instead.” 

The lucid dream engineered Ronovea synchronicty may also reveal that reality has a (language/code) genetic basis. If however you prefer to live in fear, conjure up a ‘Shoggoth’ out of H.P. Lovecraft’s, novella, At The Mountains Of Madness instead, should it be your Grimoire predilection: “It was a terrible, indescribable thing vaster than any subway train—a shapeless congeries of protoplasmic bubbles, faintly self-luminous, and with myriads of temporary eyes forming and un-forming as pustules of greenish light all over the tunnel-filling front that bore down upon us, crushing the frantic penguins and slithering over the glistening floor that it and its kind had swept so evilly free of all litter.” But keep in mind, it might just ‘correspondingly’ manifest as an out of control juggernaut lorry careering your way, though, more likely to bear down upon you as a mutating… Flu Virus!

Sometime ago in my misbegotten youth, as a child, I remember being left alone in my parents car one fateful night after a day out visiting the British Natural History museum. My parents had dashed off to acquire a meal of soggy fish and chips from the local chippie, before returning home.

While waiting for my parents return with the aforementioned meal, I looked out of the passenger window and noticed a billboard featuring a huge Lamb’s Navy poster of the most beautiful woman I had ever seen.

Even though I was but a kid, with no bristles to yet erupt forth upon my physiognomy, requiring copious amounts of Noxzema shaving cream, she stirred something deep within me.

I felt that my head was going to explode, it was like a mystical revelation. The experience was of similarity to what I had far earlier experienced when seeing a poster for Barbarella, but that’s another story.

The sensation was not necessarily sexual, more like that of recognition, as if she had triggered a memory I could not as yet remember in its entirety; the only way I can describe it as being like déjà-vu.

But then I was nightly experiencing the Old Hag Syndrome with its ensuing sleep paralysis, prior to attaining conscious ingress into the dream, which in retrospect, probably made me more sensitive to something quite other.

The woman I later to find out was Caroline Munro who I started to notice was being featured in an advert for Manikin Cigars on my parent’s flickering black and white TV set, which I made a point of seeing, to the point of becoming nigh obsessed; I’m surprised I didn’t end up becoming a chain smoker, let alone an alcoholic.

I was not the only one who had been hypnotised by Munro’s High Priestess looks, Hammer Films CEO, Sir James Carreras, also spotted Munro on a Lamb’s Navy Rum poster of a Tarot card. He asked his right-hand man, James Liggett, to find and screen test her.

She was quickly signed to a one-year contract. Her first film for Hammer had proven to be something of a turning point in Munro’s career, who as a Muse, stirred my unusual dreams.

It was during the making of the 1972 film, Dracula A.D., Munro decided from this film onward that she was a fully-fledged actress.

Munro acted in Captain Kronos – Vampire Hunter, in 1974, which is one of my childhood favourites.

The film was directed by Brian Clemens, in which Munro plays the part of a barefoot gypsy girl named, Carla.

In Paramount Pictures DVD commentary, Clemens explains, he had initially envisioned the role as being played by a fiery, Raquel Welch type, red-head; but Munro was far more archetypal of Witch looks for the part.

Munro has the distinction of being the only actress to have ever been signed to a long-term contract to Hammer Films. She later turned down the lead female roles in Hammer’s Dr. Jekyll and Sister Hyde, Frankenstein and the Monster from Hell, and the unmade Vampirella film, since they required nudity.

It was not a case that Munro was a prude, she had a raw sensuality anyway, oozing eroticism upon a look, which did not require her to be nude. Although I could not help wondering what was hidden behind her Genie veil.

I really enjoy watching a good horror flick, preferably fantasy horror rather than slashers. However the same old focus upon an all male Biblical paradigm of an ‘Animus’ fixation just creases me up; I just cannot take them at all seriously.

Anyway, I still like them, even though a God upending a Devil and vice versa, via their incubus angels and demons, followed up closely behind by ‘Animus’ fixated minions, is absolutely hilarious.

One film I have a fondness for from my childhood is the classic horror film, To the Devil a Daughter, directed by Peter Sykes, which was co-produced by Hammer Film Productions and Terra-Filmkunst back in 1976.

The film was adapted by Christopher Wicking and John Peacock from the 1953 novel of the same name, authored by Dennis Wheatley. The film starred Richard Widmark, Christopher Lee, Honor Blackman, Denholm Elliott, and of course the delectable Nastassja Kinski who I had the hots for; she was older than me, maybe the same age thereabouts, at the time, of my fantasy fueled conjurations.

It was the second of Wheatley’s black magic novels filmed by Hammer, following The Devil Rides Out, prior released in 1968, which is another film favourite of childhood memory. Like most horror films, let alone books, the film uses the same tried and tested generic formula of commonality.

The plot in general has an American expatriate occult writer, named John Verney (Widmark) who is asked by Henry Beddows (Elliot) to pick up his daughter Catherine (Kinski) from London airport.

Catherine is a nun, belonging to a Christian cult, calling themselves the ‘Children of the Lord,’ a mysterious heretical order based in Illuminati Bavaria. The cult was created by a excommunicated Roman Catholic priest Michael Rayner (Lee), just like the Emperor Constantine had done, when he appropriated the ancestral-self-identity of the Hebrew’s in order to create Christianity.

Beddows is only allowed to visit his daughter on her birthdays. Shortly after Catherine arrives, Beddows insists she stays with Verney. The cult members are outraged, who under Father Michael, use all their ‘Animus’ fixated efforts to get Catherine back into their flock, by using black magic to stop Verney protecting her.

Verney learns that the cult are preparing Catherine to become an avatar of the twenty-ninth spirit of the Goetia called Astaroth. Said spirit is described as being male in the classical Grimoires, even though Astaroth was originally based upon the Mesopotamian sex Goddess called, Astarte, the Sumerian’s and Babylonian’s knew as Ishtar, who the Saxon’s called Eostre, from whose name Easter is derived.

In the film Astaroth is an anti-thesis Christ figure, who is depicted crucified, upside down upon a cross, which is otherwise up-righted on an altar. Catherine wears the Astaroth crucifix around her neck of an ‘Animus’ fixation.

Catherine is to be wedded to her lord Astaroth on her eighteenth birthday just like many another nun being married off to their Christ; whereupon the priest systematically murders Verney’s friends in his attempts to retrieve Catherine from Verney.

But Verney battles the priest and his minions who eventually rescues Catherine from the clutches of the Astaroth cult, back into the folds of the Christ cult. What a laugh!

Suffice to say Nastassja Kinski’s ‘Tarot card XV’ role in the movie was verily conjured into a Faustian film amidst my Triangle Of Art imagination, which goes far beyond Marlowe’s and Goethe’s, Faust.

LILITH, SUCCUBUS WITCH QUEEN OF THE HAREM DREAM

Lilith is said to have been the first wife of Adam, who was made of the same mud as he; but, she then rebelled against his dominating ways, wherefore Adam’s God of a deified Animus, cast Lilith into the pit, who then became the Witch Queen of Succubae.

Lilith is generally considered to be a sex demon, who seduces males in their sleep as well as having a liking for strangling babies. She has since been transformed into a Vampire. However, Lilith is not and never was a Vampire, which of a mystique has evolved since the late nineteenth century into a fascination with teenage romances of Twilight trysts and True Blood Necrophilia. If you follow Lilith further down, she will take you into her apple core harem dream.

Although, the Vampire mystique does point at the throat area of commonality, where you can find the reptilian-brain-stem, which of a symbolic correspondence is associated with the symbolism of the serpent. The symbol of the serpent is very much entwined with Lilith, who is said to have tempted, Adam’s second wife, Eve to taste of the apple of Knowledge.

The apple of knowledge is associated with the hidden sphere of Da’at in the Cabala, which corresponds with the throat area of the reptilian-brainstem. The reptilian-brainstem determines the lupine depths of hypnagogic trance and the intensity of your underworld dreams.

When to inadvertently access hypnagogic trance at the mid-point between waking and sleeping you my experience what is termed as the Old Hag Syndrome, or otherwise called the Bedroom Invader Experience.

For the unprepared it can be an intensely frightening experience, which involves sleep paralysis, the sensation of another presence pressing down upon your body, as well as the presence assuming terrifying forms, which will reflect back your deepest fears. When your fears mount to a pitch of total abject Hellblazer horror, you will also feel as if you are being strangled, before awakening, feeling utterly drained; wherefore, you have to take control over the experience, just like John Constantine would do.

The motif of Lilith having a liking for strangling babies, is an occult blind, which actually alludes to an inadvertent access of hypnagogic trance. The strangled baby being that of an unprepared dreamer, who cannot control the mounting fear of being assailed by the bedroom invading presence of the Old Hag Syndrome, which is otherwise represented as Lilith.

It is your own fears, which will lead to the sensation of being strangled. The experience of hypnagogic trance, will reflect back at you your beliefs, which you will then have to harrow, whether they be personal or otherwise moulded by cultural conditioning; hence you have the Hebrew word: Da’at, which means, belief.

When you eventually realise that the hellish presence, which is assailing you is due to your own emotively charged beliefs creating fearful potions, poisoning your brain, that have been given terrifying dream form, because of what you have been led to believe, you then attain, ‘Knowledge’ of yourself.

The fear of accessing hypnagogic trance can be negated by introverting the sexual impulse; whereupon Lilith will be transformed into a Succubus, who will then guide the dreamer into a lucid dream via her vaginal star-gate.

At a deeper level, Lilith can be seen as representing a Tantric technique of dream Yoga, which of a sexual practice, enables the dreamer to attain lucid dreaming.

It is within a lucid dream, the dreamer can then consciously conjure Succubae, who are manifold aspects of Lilith; whereby she is considered to be their Queen, the psychiatrist Carl Gustav Jung would otherwise term as the Anima, of an alchemical term.

Lilith is of the dream, being the implicate-order of the microcosm; whereas Eve is of the waking world, which is the explicate-order of the macrocosm. When a dreamer consciously conjures a Succubus within the microcosmic dream reality of Lilith, the conjured Succubus will then initiate corresponding synchronicities to manifest within the macrocosmic reality of Eve, who can be otherwise equated with, Maya, of the Hindu. Maya can be seen as being like that of a simulated reality right out of the Matrix films.

Basically, Adam is the dreamer who stands between Lilith and Eve. The tree of knowledge symbolises the spinal column of Adam’s radio-active neural-net tuning into other realities via the dream, whose reptilian-brainstem is the serpent of Lilith, wound around an apple. The apple symbolises the hidden ‘dream’ sphere of Da’at, whose core is consciously accessed via hypnagogic trance.

The motif of the serpent is also associated with an experience the Tantric Yoga practitioner terms as the Kundalini Shakti, which is personified as a Goddess, who is also seen to be a fire snake. The Kundalini Shakti fire snake describes the life-force, which is intuitively felt to have a feminine source. Such could indeed be the case, since the energy output of every cell in your body is determined by the mitochondria, which is passed down from the mother to her children.

The Kundalini Shakti is aroused from the base of your spinal column to the top of your head; as the Kundalini Shakti arises along your spine, the fire snake penetrates seven (seals) Chakras to open, which in the classical grimoires are associated with seven planetary spheres.

The Chakras are seen to be the abodes of the Dakinis, which are essentially Succubae, who are energetic Genie fluctuations of the Kundalini Shakti; whereby you can see the Kundalini Shakti as being Lilith.

The Kalahari Bushmen of South Africa who are highly versed in the trance dance, are also aware of this inner energy, they call Num. As the Num arises along the back of the neck (throat area) to then hit the back of the head, hypnagogic trance is attained, which is termed as Kia.

Overall, the symbolism of Lilith pertains to the introversion of the sexual impulse in order to attain conscious dreaming. If however, you believe otherwise, just be aware that your Da’at beliefs, which have been primarily moulded by your Animus fixated culture will determine what you experience internally; whence becoming programmed as a brainwashed automaton, wandering around like a zombie.

But when to taste of Lilith’s apple to become more human than human, you will be verily cast out of the Abrahamic Eden; for within the New World Order Kingdom Of God’s Eden, knowledge is a sin, where the Orwellian virtue of indoctrinated ignorance is bliss.

NOTE: I really do not give a toss about the biblical classification of Lilith, which of a subjective perception was symbolically moulded of an artistic expression by the Bronze age mind-set of the time.

So, if anyone claims that what I have described concerning Lilith as being falsities due to their bible-thumping biblical education, such can only be applied if you are dealing with an objective reality, which Lilith is not; she is a subjectively experienced archetype, whose inner reality is subject to ‘artistic’ transformations depending upon the (Da’at) beliefs of an individual, more so that of an indoctrinated collective focus.

Just do a Google image search to find out how the collective mind-set presently sees Lilith. You will duly find, that Lilith is one of the few female archetypes, who has a symbolic consistency, depending on what media influence has dominance. In the main, Lilith is usually perceived to be a dark haired seductress.   

Lilith has since evolved as an archetypal character over time in accordance with cultural transformations, fulfilling differing roles, whether it be is as a feminist icon or as a Vampire due to mass-media machinations. But what is not often investigated, if at all, is what Lilith refers to of an inner experience, which other cultures also speak of. This inner experience being the technically termed, Old Hag Syndrome or Bedroom Invader Experience.

I am also unconcerned whether people take me seriously or not, concerning the material I illustrate and write about, merely because I do not solely couch its symbolism within the symbolic commonality of the medieval Gothic, which many have have been trained to ‘believe’ as being seriously inclined of morbid indulgences. 

Imagine the world of Harry Potter being set in a psychedelic setting; would anyone take it seriously? Of course they wouldn’t. But why not? It is because the mass-perceptions of the audience has been trained to associate the arena of the occult with a medieval Gothic theme in the West, which has become as heavy death metal, concerning the musical sphere. Hence it is indicative that the collective perceptions of the mass-mind can be easily manipulated via symbolism; in other words, the established symbolic paradigm is that of a self-perpetuated (Da’at) brainwash. 

The reasoning for my own symbolic stance concerning the material is because I do not desire to indulge in accessing hellish dream states and their ensuing synchronicities. For example, a mediated upon two-dimensional image of Lilith can become a three-dimensional interactive reality within a lucid dream.

As for those who worship Lilith or other entities, whether female, male or neutral of varying deities to dally with of internalised external relationship dynamics, such is your religious sentiment; not mine. I am not at all interested in religion, apart from artistically exploring its symbolic language form, which permeates all levels of culture.

I do not worship the archetypes; this isn’t to say they do not have an interactive three-dimensional dream reality beyond their two-dimensional depictions. But their interactive aspect is not set in stone of an indoctrinated religious fixation; such is a cult perspective, of similarity to comic fans getting aggravated when an Artist changes the costume of an idolised super-heroine.  

When a religious sentiment rears its head, you are no longer practicing the Art of Magic, which of an Art form is indivisible from the creative practice of Art, they are one and the same.  

As Faustian Johann Wolfgang von Goethe once said:  “The artist alone sees spirits. But after he has told of their appearing to him, everybody sees them.” 

When an Artist creates characters to either paint or to write about it often involves visualising their varying characteristics, along with engaging in active imagination dialogues with them. It is of similarity to a child conjuring up invisible friends; which, depending upon the intensity of the creative work, it can then overlap into the domain of dreams, becoming lucid of quality; this may then lead to the observation of synchronicities, which reflects back the intense focus.

But it doesn’t lead to the Artist worshipping his/her creations, whether they be figurative or abstract. Such idol worship tends to be the province of the fans; although, I am not saying that this is wrong. But, when it becomes nigh religious of sentiment, the fixation is then fixed of scripted dogma, which invariably leads to all sorts of problems; such as occultists becoming rather aggravated when you reverse their all male pantheon of an ‘Animus’ focus towards that of the ‘Anima,’ which is analogous to comic fans getting pissed off, should an Artist decide to make stylistic changes in regards to their idolised characters.  

An artist had first created the Abrahamic propaganda story of Lilith, which others have literally believed to be true, leading thence to the castigation of the feminine principle and sexuality out of the spiritual equation up to the present day. Whereupon, in order to negate the established viral-meme of a 2000 yr old brainwash, you have to ‘rebelliously’ create an anti-viral-meme of Artistry.  

Because I have personally experienced the phenomenon I illustrate and write about, I do not care if nobody believes me. If you are seeking proof, best find out for yourself by conjuring up an ‘Anima’ fluctuation of a Succubus amidst your Triangle Of ‘ART’ Imagination, in order to keep the brainwashing Abrahamic Exorcist at bay, whose fixation is that of a deified ‘Animus,’ made as a God and Devil, Angels and Demons, all as Incubi!
